Sometimes My Daughter Has Really Great Taste in Music

My Likes and Dislikes of Nietzsche | Dontdontoperate's BlogThere are certain songs that my daughter loves so much she ends up playing them over and over again. Some of them are really good and I find myself learning more of the lyrics each time she plays them. I try to encourage her to express her likes and dislikes and this is just one more way that she expresses herself. Her song of the week for this week was Rihanna – You Da One which definitely one that I enjoyed hearing. As a matter of fact I liked it so much that I would sometimes go in and turn the volume up while it was playing which completely amused my daughter and made her laugh. She always thinks that it is great when I like the same music that she does. It gives us something in common and helps us stay close. I wonder what her song for next week will be?

Cousin’s Analysis Different from the Reviews

2012
01.03

My cousin has the M-Audio Prokeys, and he talks about it all the time. He seems to love it, but what I find is that his analysis differs greatly from most digital piano reviews. In fact, people seem to hate it. They call it a travesty, but my cousin praises it nonstop.

I’m beginning to think that my cousin doesn’t know much about pianos. He says that it’s the best piano he has ever played. He also says that it’s so powerful. However, all these other reviews talk about how this digital piano lacks the correct action. They say that it’s clunky, big, and bad. They call it a waste of money.

I don’t want to break my cousin’s heart though. He seems to really like the digital piano. He got it as his birthday present so that might explain his lack of objectivity. Nevertheless, it seems amusing to see that someone I personally know has such a different opinion from those online.
